Same here. Last halloween was a great day for us to permanently exorcise that demon.

According to reports from Carolina's mini-camp last week, Edwards really stood out.  Showed excellent hands, good route running skills and great athleticism.  One of the comments was that you'd never know he was learning the position.

That doesn't surprise me. I know it's been years, but he was only moved to quarterback (from WR) in high school in the middle of his junior season.

Nothing Superman does surprises me.  He is a tremendous young man.  Talk about a future so bright you have to wear shades, that's Armanti Edwards.  8)

I am pulling for him.   I am glad we dont play him anymore but I will miss seeing him play.   I am keeping an eye on him and am planning for a late round sleeper pick in my fantasy league draft.

Panthers have been getting killed for drafting Clausen and giving up too much for Edwards.  I don't think either of these were bad picks, although I think AE would have been available without giving up additional picks.  He will be a most pleasant surprise for them, IMO.

I still say he is the best college QB that I have ever seen play and that includes Joe Montana while he was at Notre Dame. I saw Montana lead the Irish to a victory against Clemson in 1977. Edwards killed us but I have to admit he was fun to watch. He could do anything. Watching him take Michigan apart was a thing of beauty. I am not a Panthers fan, but I hope he does well. He deserves the chance to prove the "experts" wrong.

I wish him well,  but success in a college system where his skill set was ideal, will not translate to success at the pro level.

His skill set rivals or exceeds that of many draftees.  Most of which did not graduate in 3.5 years.  I like his chances.

There's a couple of pro wideouts that had success at the college level playing quarterback.  Randel-el and Smith (whose first name I forget but plays for the Jets) were two good ones at Indiana and Missou.  So, success making that change would not be unprecedented.  However, it certainly is the exception rather than the rule.
