Ronnie Smith Baseball Camp Slam
« on: July 25, 2010, 07:45:14 AM »
My two bonus sons attended the Ronnie Smith baseball camp last year and wore their Citadel gear the whole week. They had a great time, learned a little, and in the late afternoons went for a swim. This year the oldest, Thomas, wanted to attend an overnite camp so he headed up the road to Clemson, not my idea.

While checking him into Clemson camp he was wearing his Ron Smith Baseball Camp purple T shirt. The young man checking him in who I assume is also a baseball tiger got on to him for his shirt. He kept telling him "we don't swim at this camp, it's all baseball, no belly flopping at this camp, hope you didn't bring your swimmies." Not having a dog in the fight I thought it was pretty funny, I did ask Thomas to ask Jack Leg when he was coming to Charleston to play!

Interesting side note is that JackLeg hires high school coaches to help run the thing and that can't hurt recruiting.

Take him to the Ray Tanner baseball camp next year. Its run by National Champsionship coaches and players. Your son can wear this years Clemson t-shirt. I'm sure they'll get a big laugh out of that

Don't send my son to Clemson, the dying mother said;
Don't send him to Carolina, I'd rather see him dead.
But send my son to Furman, for there he will do well.
And send my son to Citadel?  I'd see my son in hell.

Just sayin"
