Play will start in mid-late November and more than likely conclude in early March.

Any information on the 2010 -2011 Schedule

Since JJ is on the last year of his contract the OOC schedule will look something like this:
Berry or Barry
Belmont-Abby
Savannah St.
Francis Marion
Campbell
South Carolina at home
VMI
Stonybrook
Clemson
UT-Martin
Gulf Coast

I have seen the schedule and it is not too bad. Of course we all know that USC is coming to Timmons. But we have a nice mix of games. And the D-2 team we play is one that has some closer ties to Furman than others have had in the past.

Can you give us anything more specific, or is this highly classified info?

I would not say it is highly classified, but it was given to me in confidence. I know we have tournament down in the state of Florida, we travel up north to play and the D-2 school is not that far away.

I just wish they would hurry up and announce the schedule. I know the football boards get excited about Fall practice schedules, but I would rather see our Basketball schedules released. I have seen some sports quietly released on the individual sites, but I am still looking forward to Volleyball, and both BB schedules being released. Maybe once August is upon us.

Well, technically that's a high school, so we can't play them. Or can we?

2 months before practice starts. I think this is the latest we've gone with no schedule announcement. JJ must still be on vacation.

The D-2 team close by with ties will be North Greenville.  Their schedule has been released.  The head and assistant coach are both Furman alumnae.  NGU had a 6'8", 250 lb sophomore who averaged 22 points and 9 rebounds last season.

Many still haven't released their schedule, including Clemson and South Carolina.

I can wait.  We haven't even played a down in football yet.

JHill flunked Latin.  Males are alumni; females are alumnae.  That's the plural.  The singular is alumnus and alumna.  So a wrong designation......unless NGU has a woman coaching the men.

That could be.
How will Furman do against North Greenville?

Evidence that the OOC schedule will be very weak as expected in JJ's last year.
